Melt and pour dreams

Crazy or not but I love melt and pour. For about a year and a half I have been making melt and pour soaps and I'm hooked. Even my husband is convinced even if he thinks I'm totally nuts. ;D
Here are some of the soaps I have been making so far.

Felling like a witch ;D

Just joking, I was in the mood to made some more home made oils and tinctures that I can use in my home made skincare products and soap etc.
I have a lot of home made oils and tinctures now, I haven't used all yet but I will sooner or later.
My husband says I'm crazy ;) and when are you going to use all that? But I know that he likes what I do and he says stuff like that with love in his voice and a smile :)

So what did I do this time? I made Rose hip oil, Chamomile oil, Hibiscus oil, Hibiscus tincture, Stinging nettle oil, Stinging nettle tincture, Cucumber tincture.

So how did I do it? As always that's the easy part, the hard part is to let it rest the time it needs to get ready.

  1. Air tight glass jar
  2. Ecologic Sesame oil
  3. Dry flowers, herbs, berry or cucumber .
  4. I use around 1-2 dl oil/Alcohol too 1-2 dl Dry flowers, herbs, berry or cucumber, this is flexible depending how large jar you have and glass bottle to put it in when it's done.
Make sure you put in the dry parts first then the oil, the oil should cover the ingredient if not put in some more to cover it.
If you want you can put the oils in a sunny place or just leet them to rest on a shelf in the kitchen for 1- 4 weeks. This time I did put all the oils in hot water for about 5 hours or so before I did put it on my kitchen shelf to rest. Make sure the jar is heat proof before you do this to avoid accidents. To make the cucumber tincture you need to wash the cucumber first then is has to be dry before you cut it to pieces. Make sure that all the seed parts from the inside is gone before you chop it. The inner part has a lot of water in it and makes the tincture go bad faster so avoid it. The other tinctures is easy just put the dry ingredient in first then pure over the alcohol and close it. Try to shake it every day and open the lid to leet out any possible gas then close it again. The tinctures has a resting time between 1-4 weeks. The tinktuers and the oils are easy to smell when they are getting ready becuse the oil/alcohol will smell more of the herb etc then the original smell from the oil or the alcohol. There are several ways to do this as always, but this is how I do it.

Mobile background

For some reason my old mobile phone decided to go kaput on me I hade to get a new one. And as usually I started to looking at mobile background images and that resulted in me making my own just for fun. They backgrounds are made for a Samsung S5 but I think they can work in some of the other models too. All  backgrounds I make are free to save and use.
